Director – Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Wayne has been involved in the finance industry since 1995. He started his career at Nationwide Building Society, learning the basics of the banking world then moved into the Mortgage Centre. Here he was dealing with Mortgage Brokers daily, assisting them with the mortgages that they were placing with Nationwide.

Moving on from Nationwide, Wayne began working at a mortgage brokerage, learning everything behind the scenes and working closely with Mortgage Advisers and supporting them. In 2008 he passed his CeMap qualifications and became an authorised Mortgage Adviser able to give clients advice on both Mortgages and Protection policies.

Wayne is married and has two Children, Madeline & George. His favourite team is Tottenham Hotspur but please do not let this put you off! His favourite activities outside of work are Golf and Football.

Charles entered the mortgage world in 2000. He spent 5 years learning the ropes and the intricacies of dealing with lenders while studying for his mortgage exams before he decided to start his own business.

In 2005 he decided to start his own business and Greenleaf Mortgage was born and ever since Charles has been helping and advising clients from all walks of life and all corners of the world while steadily growing the business.

2024 brings the next exciting chapter as Greenleaf Mortgages and M&G Mortgage become Denyer Hill growing the team and business.

Charles is happily married with two amazing sons and when he is not working or being run ragged by the boys can often be found walking his dog, via his local, or on the golf course. As an Arsenal supporter, the office banter is interesting and thankfully usually at Wayne’s expense.

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Darren has been in the world of financial services since 2002 beginning his career at Santander, working alongside mortgage brokers as their point of contact and helping process their mortgage applications.

This is where he met Charles Denyer, who gave Darren the opportunity to work on the broker side of the industry, initially coming on board as an administration manager. Darren moved to a start-up firm in the city in 2010, specifically designed to provide specialist advice in affordable housing scheme mortgages.
After 8 years, Darren began working within an independent mortgage brokerage alongside our other Director/Owner Wayne Hill in 2018.

Wayne then set up M&G Mortgages where Darren followed Wayne in 2023.
Outside of work, you’ll find Darren beating Charles & Wayne on the golf course regularly, following Everton FC up and down the country whilst also playing and running a local snooker team.

Based in the North West of England

Tommy has worked in the property sector for over 25 years he has extensive mortgage and management experience having worked previously in the property rental market, where he managed portfolios of residential properties across the UK

He has since brought his wealth of experience to Mortgage & Protection, where he offers a reliable and professional service. He always works with integrity in finding clients the right deals and will help clients through each step of the process.

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Jon is based in Bedfordshire and started his career in Financial Services in 2003 working for a well-known personal lines insurance intermediary. After 7 years working within several roles across that business, he moved sectors and spent 8 years working for a manufacturing firm heading up their sales operations.

In 2020 Jon decided to change career and re-train to become a mortgage and protection adviser. Jon already had significant personal experience within the property sector, having been a portfolio landlord for many years, so the new career felt like a natural move.

Jon had known Wayne long before they worked together, as Wayne was Jon’s mortgage adviser!

Jon is married and he and his Wife have been blessed with 8 children, so when Jon isn’t guiding clients regarding their mortgage and protection requirements, he is spending time with his family, and occasionally getting out on his mountain bike.

Office Manager

Jo Cleary brings a decade of invaluable experience to the industry, specialising in protection administration and proficiently handling mortgage responsibilities.

Jo is a proud parent to two remarkable children who are the centre of her world. Her daughter has ventured into the pharmaceutical industry and now resides in the vibrant city of Dubai, while her son is on the brink of welcoming a new life into the family, making Jo soon-to-be grandmother.

Additionally, Jo enjoys leisurely strolls with her beloved Staffie, Rio, savouring the simple joys of companionship and nature’s beauty.

Jo Cleary’s journey is a testament to her resilience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to both her personal and professional endeavours. With a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with determination, she continues to navigate life’s adventures with grace and gratitude.
